"Where the answer is yes, we intend to move forward. where the answer is no, programs will end." That much of the statement I agree with 200%. The difference being I see the answer as being no most of the time. I think that free markets will produ...

I made it as far as Junior standing in Mechanical Engineering and Poli-Sci (legal studies concentration) before I went stark raving sane and dropped out. I have always been an autodidact. I currently work for a petroleum recycler but am likely to start another business next year.

Long list, usually I just pull a straight Libertarian ticket.

I am not big on requirements. I'd like to see symbolic logic taught in grade schools, they would have a lot less trouble with math and science later if it was.

On making Libertarins and influencing Votes...

I have a lot of hobbies. I usually have half a dozen irons on the fire. One of my long term hobbies is the manufacturing of new Libertarians. Mostly these are not people who will join a network or volunteer for a campaign. But they will self-identify and vote libertarian. What most parties call the 'base'. I've always made hand-crafted Libertarians one at a time. If I have any goal or purpose here it is to develop strategies for mass producing Libertarians. So here are some of the basic principa… Continue

Why Obama could be a good thing for Libertarians

I have a habit when working or learning that has been of great benefit over the years. When someone is doing something better or faster than I am I watch them. And I try to learn. Mostly to better myself but also in the understanding that by adopting their practice and modifying it to my own I can outperform them. I realize the Obama is a dirty word to many here but none can deny that his methods were remarkably successful in winning the election. If we aren't to proud to learn from them we migh… Continue

Paul,

Thanks for writing. I'm glad you posted a picture, but indeed, I remember the circumstance of our meeting pretty well. I was so appreciative to know there was someone at the church (14th and Pennsylvania or so) other than me who agreed with Andy. If I'm not mistaken, you challenged John Gibson on his proposal to guarantee everyone a "living wage." You suggested that the idea would cause many workers to get zero wages, and that Mr. Gibson didn't really have moral authority to make contracts for people, to which he (in his arrogance) disagreed. It was a wonderful exchange lost on the Peace and Freedom people in attendance, who ironically didn't support either peace or freedom.

There's a holiday party coming up on Saturday December 20th. I encourage you to attend. Otherwise, maybe we'll catch up at an LPMC meeting. It would be great to get you into the LP fold. We need all help we can get. As you well know, our federal government is worse than ever, with the state not far behind.

Take care, man. Hope to see you soon. Thanks again for writing. Kurt
