Education and Work Info
A.S., Business Administration, Vincennes University; B.S. cum laude, Business Administration, University of Southern Indiana; J.D. cum laude, Indiana University School of Law - Indianapolis.

I work full time as a firefighter/paramedic for the Indianapolis Fire Department. I am assigned to Ladder 44. I work on my days off from the fire department as an attorney. I deal primarily with estate planning issues.
Dream Job
I have it! As a child I dreamed of becoming a firefighter. I joined the volunteer fire service in 1991 and became a career firefighter in 2001 after working two years as a Deputy Prosecutor in Vanderburgh County.
Interests and Activities?
I play guitar and draw. I love spending time with my wife, son, and our dogs. I enjoy reading economics books, books about Catholicism, and books discussing the U.S. Constitution (constitutional law was my favorite course in law school).
What is the main issue you vote on?
Faithfulness to the constitutions (whether federal or state, depending on the office)
What books should be required reading in government schools?
The United States and Indiana Constitutions. The writings of the Federalists and Anti-Federalists. Expose students to both, and let them make up their minds through honest debate. Unfortunately, the "honest" debate depends upon teachers who likely have an agenda of their own. Nonetheless, one cannot prove the validity of his opinion without thoroughly considering the bases of alternate views. Students should also study all economic systems -- its the only way to prove the truth of free markets.

The first lesson of economics is scarcity: There is never enough of anything to satisfy all those who want it. The first lesson of politics is to disregard the first lesson of economics. -- Thomas Sowell

BOOKS, BOOKS, BOOKS

There is no better way to determine your true beliefs than by reading books and deliberately considering their messages. I hope that this site serves as a medium wherein we can find new authors or new books by familiar authors. Please join the book group on this site. I put up some titles that members may or may not find compelling, but I hope members will check them out. In my mind, that is what sets libertarians apart from the other parties. We are (or should be) willing to read ideas with whi… Continue
