It takes a Village...

Leadership isn't easy. This group serves the Leadership of the LPIN by providing a forum to trade ideas and answer questions.

Check the events to make sure that you're county is included! If not, please add your next event. Also, filing deadlines will be added to the events to help prevent fines.

Mark- It can be very much a family affair. I think of Wayne County and the Bells immediately in this regard.

Basically here are the steps as I remember them...
You need at least one other person to act as your Treasurer/Secretary.
You get a list of dues-paying LP members in your county (Chris or I can help with that) and tell them where/when you are going to hold a county convension.
At the convention (which might just be a couple of people sitting in your living room) you approve some by-laws (I can send you a sample) and elect officers in accordance with your by-laws.
You fill out a CFA form (I can't remember which one right now but you can download it off the web from the Secretary of State Office) and turn it in at the Voter Registration Bureau in the County Clerk's Office.
That's pretty much all you have to do to become a County Affiliate on the LPIN.

Yeah, Good idea. I will work on that.

Should/could we post deadlines for filing key CAN and CFA forms as "Events" on this Ning site?
